Omron Scientific's rope-pull emergency stop switches, the ER series, can be supplied with top-mounted metal stop buttons and cover spans of 40 to 200 metres.
The ER Series rope-pull emergency stop switches from Omron Scientific Technologies, cover spans from 40m to 200m for emergency stopping capability along the entire rope length, while reducing the number of required switches per application All models are available with an integral top-mounted, metal emergency stop (E-stop) button that provides emergency stopping capability at the switch end of the installation

In addition to the unique E-Stop button, ER Series rope pull switches are available with a dual-indicator LED beacon that may be wired to flash red, or glow a constant green, indicating the status of the switch.
The ER1022 with 125-meter span and ER1032 with a 200-meter span are supplied with this indicator beacon in the lid.
The ER6022 with an 80-meter span is available with the indicator beacon as an option.
The ER Series features a heavy-duty IP67 (NEMA 6) die-cast housing and stainless steel eye nut for reliable operation and long life (minimum of one million actuations) in the most demanding industrial environments.
Additionally, an improved bellows design is more robust and has a tighter seal than competitive units, enabling these switches to better withstand exposure to harsh indoor environments, or the weather extremes of outdoor applications.
Snap-action operation protects against nuisance tripping due to vibration, and when a pulled or slacked rope actuates the switch a blue reset button must be pushed in order to return to a "machine run" condition.
The ER1022 and ER1032 models feature 4 N/C safety contacts and 2 N/O auxiliary contacts, while the ER5018 and ER6022 models are available with 2 N/C and 1 N/O, or 3 N/C, contact arrangements.
All models have a highly visible and easy-to-read tension indicator that makes set-up and maintenance quick and simple.
Installation is made easier with the RK Series of rope installation kits with all stainless steel components and pre-cut lengths of cable.
Explosion proof versions are available for three of the four models, including XER1022, XER1032 and XER6022.
The ER and XER Series conform to all European safety standards, and the ER Series is cUL Listed to satisfy the demands of the typical applications on conveyors, across rotating machinery, and around hazardous areas.
