Standardized, modular production concept covering the whole spectrum of metalforming provide solutions for the manufacturing needs of SME component suppliers.

Schuler's ProfiLine range of equipment offers a standardized, modular production concept covering the whole spectrum of metalforming The system comprises individual mechanical and hydraulic presses, press lines, three-axis transfer presses, coil and blank feeding equipment as well as press automation systems with electronic three-axis transfer, robots or feeders

On the basis of its own extensive press shop studies and data archives, Schuler has developed standards which provide solutions for the manufacturing needs of SME component suppliers - today and in future.

Basic standardized equipment can also be combined with optional modules according to customer and production requirements.

In addition to mechanical components, the modular system also includes electrical, control and visualization elements.

This range of optimized individual components, which can be combined to form complete systems, is designed in such a way that customers can find economic solutions for virtually every manufacturing requirement.

As almost 80 percent of all mechanical parts, as well as electrical, control and visualization elements, are standardized and pre-engineered, lead times can be reduced by 30 percent.

That means significantly shorter delivery and production launch times at competitive prices.

The system will also remain sufficiently flexible to integrate individually engineered components in future.

At the heart of the ProfiLine range are individual presses or press lines (with capacities of 1,600 to 20,000 kN) and transfer presses (with capacities of 1,600 to 32,000 kN), all featuring modular designs.

In addition to extensive standard versions, customers can specify options such as different die-changing systems, hydraulic die cushions or noise reduction devices.

ProfiLine press lines can be used with press link concepts, incorporating feeders and robots.

Both concepts can be used for processing structural elements and panels in steel and aluminum.

Schuler also provides an electronic transfer system for the automation of 3-axis transfer presses.

Material can be fed via short- or long-format coil lines or press-specific blank feeders.

The ProfiLine features two different types of coil line: the attractively priced C-range is especially well suited to processing thin sheet metal and structural elements, while the S-range can be used for thicker sheet metal, wider coils and higher quality requirements.

In the case of blank feeders, the range offers five different concepts with robots and/or feeders, which are tailored to various press types.

In addition to the standard version, feeders can also be supplied with mechanical centering stations, washers, oilers and double blank detectors.

Schuler has simplified the control concept for its entire ProfiLine product range on the basis of the IEC 61131-3 guideline and the directives of the PLCopen Organisation.

Schuler's ProfiLine thus offers a completely uniform software and control concept, which is just as well suited to steering highly dynamic axes, for example, as to controlling hydraulic systems.

From the coil to the press, from the die cushion and transfer system to the unloading of finished parts - all programs are constructed according to the same philosophy.

A PC-based control system is used as the standard platform for all ProfiLine equipment.

The visualization concept Schuler Basic View, developed in close cooperation with customers and the Faculty for Production Automation at the University of Kaiserslautern, has also been standardized for all ProfiLine components.
