A new brochure describes in detail the Merlin Gerin Metalclad Distribution Substation (MDS), an all-in-one package, that saves time, money and contractor workload The MDS comes complete with its own integral corrosion resistant steel enclosure and incorporates a distribution transformer, Ringmaster medium voltage non-extensible switchgear and a low voltage fusegear interior

MDS saves time sourcing separate components; eliminates the cost of on-site assembly; and removes the need for extra manpower to add an enclosure after installation of the transformer and switchgear.

With only one point of contact for the whole project, MDS is easier to order.

One manufacturer also means that all components are guaranteed to work together.

MDS is pre-assembled at the factory to ensure the highest quality for the whole system.

It is designed with a high level of safety, and is quicker to install than separate components.

Packages can be supplied with transformer ratings of 200, 315, 500, 800 and 1000kVA.

The complete specification is given in each case and is accompanied by photographs and fully-dimensioned plans of the equipment.
