Balancing machines service turbines,

Schenck balancing machines are being used by Rolls Wood Group (Repair and Overhauls) to service and repair power turbines and gas generators.

In a further contract win for Schenck, Wood Group Light Industrial Turbines ("Wood Group LIT"), another part of Wood Group based in Aberdeen, has also purchased a HM 5 UBU balancing machine to overhaul smaller industrial turbines.
Graeme Wilson, Production Manager at Wood Group LIT, said "I have been involved with turbines for many years and the balancing of these engines is paramount to quality and efficiency.
This facility is responsible for servicing Siemens (Alstom) TA, TB, TD and Tornado gas turbines.
