Band saw blades offer longer production life
Production cutting bi-metal band saw blades with fatigue-resistant alloy steel backing for higher wear resistance deliver easy penetration, excellent chip clearance, and faster, straighter cuts.
It is a natural upgrade from a comparator, without the complexity of PC-based software.
The Galileo EZ features a precision mechanical bearing with an (X-Y-Z) measuring stage of 8in x 4in x 6in (200 x 100 x 150mm) or 12in x 6in x 5in (300 x 150 x 125mm), 6 to 1 zoom video optics, a dual-output 150W fiber-optic illumination for the fiber-optic ring light and collimated substage light.
A key component of the EZ system is the new Metronics QC300 Digital Readout that is loaded with leading-edge features.
Simon Cosham, Metrology Systems Division manager explained, "The QC300 clearly shows X-Y-Z digital readout display and measurement data, while a built-in video card supports a live video camera image.
It also allows video edge detection that automatically detects and targets edge points by scanning the image area within a circle around the crosshairs on the display, eliminating operator subjectivity." The QC300 greatly increases system accuracy and repeatability, increasing measuring throughput and reducing operator error.
Galileo EZ is also compatible with the industry standard QC200 Readout System.
System accuracy of E1 = 2.5+7L/100 and X-Y resolution of 0.00002" (0.0005mm) is also ensured by the stable granite base design.
1/2 micron resolution scales are standard and the system is calibrated and certified for accuracy.
The maximum workload for Galileo EZ is 20 lb (9kg).
On a 15in monitor, zoom magnification is 6.5 to 1 (approximately 25x to 150x).
EZ System options include -x to 2x auxiliary lenses, 150mm line standard for system calibration verification, co-axial illumination and a three-light illuminator.
Since its founding nearly 125 years ago, The L S Starrett Company has earned a reputation as the world's pre-eminent supplier of precision measuring tools and equipment.
