CAM has 3D high speed machining module
CAM software now includes a very powerful and market-proven high-speed, 3D machining module - with optimum roughing and finishing CNC high-speed toolpaths - for molds and complex 3D parts.
The TTC will offer training courses for operators and programmers, related to parts manufacturing, taking into account the whole manufacturing process chain.
Furthermore, the highly skilled experts of the TTC will assist SolidVision's customers to develop and fine tune new dedicated machining procedures.
The overall target is to improve the productivity of the manufacturing processes for complex parts.
The TTC, which has been established with the funding of the European Community, will be managed by Zbynek Jerabek, a SolidCAM certified professional.
The opening ceremony of the innovative Technology Training centre was held on June 5, 2007, in Brno (Czech Republic).
Ivan Cimr, managing director of SolidCAM Czech Republic, stated, "Our Aerospace and Automotive industries especially demand more and more complex parts.
Therefore, the use of the 5-axis machining technology is growing enormously in our region.
There is a need for qualified technicians who can successfully apply the sophisticated tools.
The TTC will promote the advanced features of the SolidCAM software and thus support the SolidCAM sales in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
With the help of our high-end technology we can provide the best possible support for our customers." Wolfgang Mueller, SolidCAM's vice president of sales in Europe, added, "Today, the manufacturing industry worldwide is investing heavily in 5-axis machine tools.
The return of these investments strongly depends on the productivity, which can be achieved by complementing the expensive CNC machines with CAM software and expert know-how.
The TTC project is a good example of how this can be accomplished.".
