Batch controller can be supplied in two options
A batch controller that is available as either a flow computer or a weighing batch computer uses full numeric keypads for easy data entry and show batch information on a large 6 digit LED display.
Synectic Design's SY015 batch controller is available as either a flow computer (SY015) or a weighing batch computer (SY015W).
Both batch controllers use full numeric keypads for easy data entry, show the required batch information on a large 6 digit LED display and have robust failsafe control software.
The controllers power four output relays fitted to the unit.
The SY015 flow computer has three relays at 6A that are typically configured as control, pre-close and alarm, the fourth; a 1A set point relay can be configured as a pause facility.
The SY015W weighing batch computer has four 6A relays, with one set as a control relay with in-flight compensation and the other three as set point relays, the output relays can handle up to 4 materials sequentially.
The SY015 flow computer is easily configured for use with most flow meters (reed switch/open collector, coil or TTL pulse inputs) and can measure at up to 2.7 kHz.
The SY015W weighing batch computer has a direct connection to up to four 350R load cells via an amplifier matched to the load cell, the signals are fed into an 18 bit ADC running at 16 conversions per second.
Both controllers also offer options of RS232 or RS485 interfacing for data communication, either to a PC or directly to a printer; a fully scaleable analogue 4-20mA output which is proportional to flow rate, and a data logger that can store the full details of 4096 (64k) up to 16384 (256k) batches.
Synectic Design's batch controllers are supplied in a 96mm square DIN43700 panel mounting.
The units can be powered by 230V AC, 110V AC or 24V AC, with a power consumption of less than 6W.
Synectic Design has been designing and manufacturing industrial process control and measurement instrumentation and systems since 1993 and are considered as leaders in the process electronics industry.
