Easy-to-maintain mould temperature controllers have fast and accurate heat-up time and can accurately maintain programmed temperatures.
The new Belmar moulding machines were supplied and installed by Sandretto UK at the beginning of the year within a month of the order being signed - complete with conveyors, rotary feeders, hopper loaders and hopper dryers.
The Nove S machines were chosen by Belmar for a variety of reasons.
"Price was a factor," acknowledges Malcolm Payne, "As we were operating on a tight capital budget".

Robots purpose-built to serve injection moulders
Purpose-built for plastics injection moulding machines with locking forces of 8200 -18000kN, a robot offers a high level of positional repeatability with minimal vibration.
Plastics system colours materials at the moulder
Plastics materials handling system uses a central silo feed to serve injection moulding machines machines via masterbatch dosers that colour the material at the moulders.
"However, the Sandretto technology was always what we wanted, and we were able to agree terms for its purchase and installation." Another factor lies in the fact that, apart from two specialist production areas, Belmar's fleet of 17 moulding machines is mostly made up of Sandretto moulding machines which date back to the early days of the company and the Sandretto Series 6 range of machines.
"Among the benefits supplied we favour the size of platens produced by Sandretto," explains Payne, "All our tool setters and repairers are trained on the machines, which are very reliable, easy to adjust and to repair".
"We like the T-slot mould arrangements and the fit with Euromap protocols and we also find that Sandretto machines are much quieter than the competition".
"They also offer substantial energy savings." The main engine for Belmar's renewed growth has been the renewed investment from parent company Belmar Engineering and the increased sales activities from Malcolm Payne, Belmar Plastics director.
"Short project lead times, fast turnaround times and speedy delivery of high quality technical mouldings are all reasons why a key number of large sub contracting moulding jobs have come Belmar's way in recent months," says Payne.
Key among the new contracts has been work placed by Watford-based electrical company Modular Wiring".
""We have just taken delivering over the last nine weeks of a suite of eleven new mould tools in order to produce Modular's new design of polycarbonate based modular electrical mouldings - plugs, sockets, T junctions, junction boxes and wiring," says Payne.
The two new Sandretto Nove S machines - 1300kN and 1000kN - are producing these in volume for Modular's clients in hospital refurbishment, and as part of the new electrical work in the reconstruction of the prestigious new Wembley Stadium.
Belmar Plastics's recent move into 7000ft2 premises adjacent to the parent company has allowed the company to streamline production and operating procedures within the company.
First line customers include London Underground, Ipeco, BAE Systems, Tyco Electronics, Bayer Diagnostics and Saft.
Belmar is also a 2nd tier supplier to Boeing, Rolls Royce, Nissan, Ford and VW.
Moulding capability at the company ranges up to 1350kN locking force and 340g product capacity Belmar's compression mould facilities consist of twelve machines up to compression 1500kN force, with capability of moulding all thermoset plastics.
Belmar's finishing department includes drilling, tapping, pad printing, hot foil stamping, colour filling and assembly.
Jim Whitehouse, founder and owner of parent company Belmar Engineering, confirms that Belmar Plastics's recent growth has been partly built on identifying the right kinds of business for the company".
""We owe part of our success to picking the right niche markets," he says, "And these for us are in medical markets, telectronics and other opportunities for quality technical mouldings".
" Added to that," says Whitehouse, "We have invested in technology, such as Sandretto injection moulding, and commercially we have always sought to supply quality, service and a quick turnaround for our customers.".
