Sandretto UK used the event to introduce an innovative new hopper loader to the market.

"This new unit attracted a lot of attention.

I believe that it is set to revolutionise the hopper loader market," says Chris Whitlam, Sandretto UK national sales manager for Ancillary Equipment.

"Our new hopper loader has come through a demanding programme of research, development and testing in Italy and now demonstrates unbeatable reliability and long lasting performance.

Sandretto UK's new HLV20 is an all-pneumatic vacuum-based hopper loader with a unique and patented EJET vacuum system.

Thanks to the technology the new hopper loader is able to convey up to 200kg an hour (at 5metres) of granules or 175kg an hour of powder based on a point 6 bulk density.

If required the HLV20 hopper loaders are designed to work in modular arrangements and can also be linked together to a central control system.

Whitlam stresses that the hopper loaders can be fitted and/or retro-fitted to any make of injection moulding machines.

Whitlam also adds that: "The rising cost of energy - electricity and other utilities - is becoming a major concern for plastics processors worldwide.

With its near-zero energy consumption, low air consumption and silent running the new HLV20 handles environmental, ergonomic and energy saving needs in one solution.

Whitlam adds that 'the new hopper loader has so few moving parts such that we are extremely confident of its performance in service.

Sandretto UK showed ancillary equipment innovation and strength across the board at Interplas 05.

According to Whitlam, among the show highlights were 'our dehumidifying drier that requires no cooling water and is up to 30% more energy efficient that some of our competitors.

Our brushless single-phase side channel vacuum pumps have market-leading durability and our doser units have an enviable repeatability thanks to the innovative feeding system.
