Our overall volume is hitting levels of three years ago and we are confident of building further gains in the market next year".

This demanding but loyal UK customer base will form a major part of the platform for the next phase in the company's development and market-leading customer service.
According to Whitlam, 2008 will be the year to upgrade to Sandretto products that will pay the user back within a very short space of time.
"We have always considered ourselves first in service and in customer care," said Whitlam, "That being the key reason why we differentiate ourselves by offering a 'one-stop-shop' for all plastics production needs - automation and ancillary equipment included".

The company was incorporated in 1967 in Tring, Hertfordshire, UK by Malcolm and Marilyn Olden.
Originally a small specialist injection moulding company, investments in technology, marketing and factory space have enabled steady growth and diversification.
Today, Chess Plastics is still a family run concern with Glyn and Gareth Olden as the controlling Directors and incorporating an organised work force operating from 35,000ft2 in Droitwich, Worcestershire.
The company works a three shift system, 24h/day Chess recently took delivery of a new 12MN (1200 tonf) Sandretto machine with Dal Maschio CNC robot in order to meet its expected growth plan.
Chess received its new Sandretto machine just in time to keep up with an increase in orders for larger components.
Gareth Olden, finance director at Chess, believed that the larger machines are the key to ongoing success in UK manufacturing as larger components can not be transported economically from overseas for the domestic market.
Whitlam told manufacturingtalk.com that he believed it too.
Sandretto UK has taken the opportunity to arrange regular sourcing of Sandretto large machines to the UK so that customer lead times can always be achieved.
Meanwhile Antrim, Northern Ireland-based Industrial Precision Components have recently been in the market for Sandretto's High Performance range of fast cycling machines in order to meet a growing order book for all manner of aircraft seat components.
Thanks to the new Sandretto HP performance the company's fleet of moulding machines is now producing components for the international sector at greatly improved cycle times than before.
