Thermal sensor paper is a valuable aid for assessing heat distribution between heat sealing bars, welding heads, clutch and brake assemblies, as well as other industrial applications.

Sensor Products announces Thermex, a temperature indicating sensor paper ('TISP') The sensor reveals temperature distribution between any two heated contacting surfaces

Thermex is a valuable aid in R and D and QC/QA for assessing heat distribution between heat sealing bars, welding heads, clutch and brake assemblies, as well as other industrial applications where heat analysis is important.

In general, any application requiring a visual analysis of temperature between two surfaces can benefit from the capabilities of the TISP.

"Thermex temperature sensor comes in the form of a large thin sheet, actually a paper, similar in appearance to this page," comments Sr.

Technical Engineer Jeffrey Stark.

"When placed between heated contacting surfaces, the sensor instantly and permanently turns varying intensities between light blue to black," Stark continued, "revealing minute variations in temperature.

Response time is 0.1 seconds or less, with heat sensing ranges from 93deg C to 149deg C (200 deg F to 300deg F)." Thermex is a non-destructive (NDT) concept revealing accurate temperature distribution measurement with a relatively minor investment.

Given its thin profile, Thermex is ideal for invasive intolerant environments that cannot accommodate traditional heat or temperature indicators.

The TISF can easily be trimmed with scissors to accommodate smaller application surfaces, and is available in 17in by 14in sheets in packs of twenty-five.
