Seiki Systems's strong application-led portfolio of software packages covering scheduling, DNC and machine monitoring products drew an 80% increase in sales October 2004 - March 2005.

Manufacturing software specialist Seiki Systems of Brighton is reaping the benefits of its strong application-led portfolio of software packages covering scheduling, DNC and machine monitoring products drawing a massive 80% increase in sales between October and March 2005 Says recently appointed Chief Executive David Moody: "In addition to winning new customers, much of the increase in sales has been generated through existing customers reaping benefits from Seiki Systems' installations which have been used to help justify and fund further expansion." The expansions to existing systems have increased the number of machines or production units being monitored giving wider management control and appreciation of what is happening in real time situations on the shopfloor

Meanwhile, due to the success of existing Seiki Systems' installations, customers have been taking advantage of installing other software systems from the modular packages available which include DNC, CNC program control, NMS machine monitoring, iMES production scheduling software and Overall Equipment Effectiveness Software (OEE).

As Moody predicts: "Such is the competitive edge required by the manufacturing sector in the UK that knowing exactly what is happening in 'real time' to expensive machine tools has never been more critical".

"Here, customers using Seiki Systems' software are dramatically increasing productivity and in particular machine utilisation that in turn, becomes a self-funding improvement strategy.".
