Proximity sensors are now available to improve the safety in using three types of quick press tool change wedge clamp in a Serapid quick press tool change system.

Serapid is offering a safety option for its improved wedge clamp, the TBHS Escaping Arc Clamp Proximity sensors are now available for all sizes

Users can specify one of three different mounting locations on the clamp for the sensors.

They can be mounted parallel, perpendicular or off the back of the clamp.

The TBHS clamp comes in a range of sizes from 2 to 63 tonf.

It also features a mechanical safety detent so the press tool (die) will not drop in the event of a pressure failure.

Serapid said that the clamp is well suited for automated systems, where sensing clamp position is required.

With Serapid's complete range of clamping devices, guides and rolling elements, the company can custom-design and configure a Quick Die Change System.

Serapid is a leader in quick die change equipment and components, including die clamps, lifters and push/pull systems.
