Electrostatic paint sprayer is most
efficient
Thanks to its patented air magnetic bearing,a high speed rotary atomizer is claimed to be the most efficient electrostatic sprayer available.
Thanks to its patented air magnetic bearing, the new PPH 308 High Speed Rotary Atomizer from Sames lays claim to being the most efficient electrostatic sprayer available Suitable for both solvent and water-based coatings, this is an ideal product for automated lines where minimal downtime and transfer efficiency in excess of 80% are pre-requisites

Coating equipment company relocates
The UK arm of the company that originated the electrostatic spraying process in 1966 - has just completed its move to a new UK headquarters building in Alton, Hampshire.
Dry spraying produces better quality finish
Better quality finish and elimination of paint re-touching after assembly have been realised by an agricultural equipment manufacturer since replacing wet coating with dry spraying.
Designed for general industrial use but employing technology proven in car finishing, the PPH 308 is available with a variety of shaping air shrouds and bell-cup combinations to suit the application.
For example, the vortex combination has been introduced specifically for the application of metallic and mica paints.
The vortex effect also enables paints to penetrate recesses and areas not normally coated by existing bell technology.
The choice of accessories provides the finest atomization and control over many pattern sizes and allows the use of a range of paints including those with up to 70% solids.
As the system can be tailored to suit the application, it is unsurpassed in the quality of finish and coverage it can achieve, particularly in cavities.
The high atomization efficiency is ensured by the magnetic air bearing turbine that operates at a speed of 50,000 rpm.
This speed is achieved without any vibration thanks to an efficient damping system.
The paint acquires its electric charge from the edge of the cup and its flight to the product surface is guided by the electrostatic field, shaped by the air shroud.
The basic PPH 308 has an internal charge and is therefore mostly used for the spraying of metallics, varnishes and solvent-based products.
However the system can be easily and quickly changed for spraying water-based paints by fitting an external charge 'candelabra' adaptor and high voltage cable.
Thanks to its robust, low-maintenance design and exceptional versatility, the PPH 308 is ideal for a broad range of industrial applications and will typically be used for spraying metallic furniture, agricultural and construction equipment, wooden products, aluminium extrusions and lubricant used in the process of coil coating.
