Weighing partnership settled for Ireland

New weighing system partnership agreed for Ireland Stevens Group have appointed Globeweigh as their representative for Ireland. The company has the in-house resources to consolidate Irish business.

Blackburn, UK-based Stevens Group have appointed Globeweigh as their representative for Ireland.

Globeweigh, who are based in Craigavon, west of Belfast, will focus on increasing sales of Stevens' Vantage Recipe Formulation Terminals and Average Weight Systems.

Globeweigh's Managing Director Stephen McMorris is very upbeat about the new partnership and sees it as an important step in his company's strategic growth.

"Globeweigh is now at the point where we expect to expand rapidly.

We are impressed with the Stevens' products and these offer an excellent fit within our overall portfolio.

They have spent significant time and resources in product development and we are confident that their new Vantage range meets the challenging legislative and technical requirements necessary for today's food and pharmaceutical industries.

We can offer a high level of technical support for the products which will benefit existing customers and new potential alike.

We believe the timing is perfect and look forward to consolidating our working arrangement".

Stevens are equally positive about the new agreement and as their Export Sales Manager Steve Ashworth explains: "We recognise and appreciate that having local sales and service support is vital for success in this important and growing market area.

We already have a solid customer base in Ireland, including well known names such as Sunblest Bakeries, Grampian Foods and Northern Ireland's largest food processor, Moy Park Foods.

However we acknowledge that it is difficult to capitalize on opportunities without local support.
