Stevens Weighing Group is introducing two new models to its Vantage range of products.

Both the Euro-weigher and Knee-weigher are constructed from food grade stainless steel and feature clean smooth lines for ease of washing and cleaning.

Operational versatility and long term reliability are key features of both products, said Stevens.

The Euro-weigher is specifically designed for weighing Euro standard wheeled tubs used in the food processing industry.

The bin to be weighed is wheeled in to the frame of the Euro-weigher and then, via the built in locating brackets, raised in to the weighing position using a pivot arm.

Individual tub identities can either be entered manually through the Vantage touch screen, or via an optional bar code scanner.

The Knee-weigher is designed for weighing a range of bins, boxes and tubs with capacities up to 30kg.

The optimised low working height minimises lifting and the surrounding bull-bars provide side protection for the weighing platform.

An overload system further protects the water proof load cell and a push button on the side can be knee operated for rapid operation.

The PC-based Vantage terminal has been specifically designed for today's food processing, where accurate weight data plays a pivotal role in profitability and traceability.

Clear simple instructions are relayed to the operator via the touch screen and information can include both operational and health and safety information said Stevens.

Both the Euro-weigher and the Knee-weigher can work as stand-alone units, or as part of a fully integrated weighing and data management system, communicating with other Vantage based equipment through to a central PC.

According to the company, that modular approach provides users with cost effective systems that can be extended as and when required.

Other Vantage based modules include recipe formulation, checkweighers, stock control and average weight.
