The Andiamo partnership offers seminars for tool and mold making companies at the Andiamo Centre where participants can experience "state of the art" automation hands-on.

The Andiamo partnership offers 'eye-opening' seminars for tool and mold making companies at the Andiamo Centre near Salzburg where participants can experience "state of the art" automation hands-on building a part of a simple tool themselves from scratch in one and a half days Although only kicking off at the start of 2005, these seminars have been attended by nearly 50 companies from industries as diverse as automobile, aerospace and telecommunications, and many are already putting the learning in place in their own companies to dramatically enhance their productivity

Cimatech, a moldmaker based near Salzburg in Austria, has embraced the Andiamo concept, using it in its day-to-day manufacture to achieve a 50% increase in productivity and a 70% reduction in through put time, all in a paperless production environment.

The aim of Andiamo, to create a fully automated mold and die shop which integrates the physical technical world with planning and management, has been achieved at Cimatech, where the company, which specialises in the manufacturing of electrodes, produces up to 12,000 electrodes per production cell each year.

"This Andiamo seminar really opened our eyes," stated Mr Bierlein of Bierlein and Schwarz, a tool and mold maker based in Kalchreuth, Germany, who uses Sescoi's Workplan and JMSPro job management system by Erowa and Zwicker Systems, as well as the entire range of Erowa tooling and handling systems - Mr Bierlein went on to add "It is very comforting to see that we are not alone in searching better ways to run our operation - although we have progressed a lot along the Andiamo path by ourselves, we needed some confirmation that it is not a dream but a practical way of working." Full information about the Andiamo concept and next seminars dates will be available at Euromold on the following partner stands : Sescoi (Hall 6 C12/14), Erowa (Hall 6 B22) and Zwicker Systems (Hall 6 A97).
