Quotations, production capacity, costs, and invoices can all be controlled from within the one program, providing accurate costing and on time delivery through improved production management.

Sescoi used this year's Farnborough International Airshow to introduce its new MyWorkPLAN job management software and the latest Version 18 of its WorkNC CAM/CAD software to the aerospace industry.

SMEs in the aerospace supply chain gave MyWorkPLAN a very warm reception, as for the first time, it brings ease of use and one-day implementation to job management for custom manufacturers.

MyWorkPLAN brings together all the project data contained in the user's existing software packages such as Word, Excel and CAD, quickly building into a valuable source of accurate information.

Quotations, production capacity, costs, and invoices can all be controlled from within the program, helping Sescoi's customers to win more business through accurate costing and on time delivery through improved production management.

The new 5-axis Impeller Machining, and Blade Machining in WorkNC Version 18, were of particular interest to visitors to Sescoi's stand.

Geared towards the needs of aerospace manufacturers, these toolpaths build on the software's unique Auto 5 module which automatically converts 3-axis toolpaths into 5-axis toolpaths, and its dedicated 5-axis functions such as Tube Machining, 5-axis Z-Level Roughing, and 5-axis Rolling.

The changes in Version 18 have been focused on providing cutterpaths to meet specific technological challenges and reducing cycle times.

New algorithms have been incorporated which add trochoidal tool movements, making it easier to cut very hard materials without overloading the tool.

Additionally, WorkNC's new Dynamic Stock Management accurately and automatically represents areas where excess material is remaining, minimising air cutting.

Colm Fox, Sescoi's UK Sales Manager said, "The aerospace sector is showing a lead in investing in new technologies and processes to become more competitive.

MyWorkPLAN and WorkNC Version 18 will provide it with the tools to achieve its aims and, combined with our ongoing commitment to the Farnborough International Airshow, we anticipate strong growth in the use of our software in the industry.
