Advanced 5-axis CAM to be shown in Japan
At the Japanese machine tool show, Sescoi will focus on its 5-axis machining CAM software including complex mould and die machining operations as well as milling complex parts.
Sescoi will be showing its full suite of manufacturing software at this year's Japanese JIMTOF machine tool exhibition, with particular emphasis on the 5-axis machining capabilities of its WorkNC automatic CAM software and the launch of its MyWorkPLAN job management software onto the Japanese market Located in booth W0020, visitors will be able to attend a daily presentation of 5-axis programming hosted by senior members of Sescoi's 5-axis development team from Europe and the USA

ERP and 3D model analysis software introduced
At the USA's IMTS, Sescoi will launch its WorkPLAN Enterprise ERP system for project based companies, and WorkXPlore 3D for viewing, mark-up and analysis of 3D models.
Additionally, Sescoi will be making a presentation, illustrated by real life case studies, on 'The 5-axis machining of complex mould and dies' during the JMTBA 12th International Machine Tool Engineers Conference, which runs in parallel with JIMTOF in Tokyo.
WorkNC Version 18, which will be featured at the show, includes some major enhancements.
Dedicated 5-axis cycles for impeller, tube and blade machining are complemented by 5-axis routines for rolling, trimming and planar machining, as well as Sescoi's unique Auto 5 module, which automatically converts 3-axis toolpaths to 5-axis.

Sescoi claimed that its latest NCspeed module can produce additional cycle time reductions of up to 20% through optimising machining cycle feedrates.
Mould maker has no crashes with WorkNC CAM
Mould and die maker said it does not have to worry about a crash with WorkNC CAM as it is very reliable and its performance is superior to other CAM systems it has used.
Toolmaker invests in Sescoi job management
Czech toolmaker evaluated several job management systems before selecting MyWorkPLAN from Sescoi, to exchange data and interface with external software packages such as CAD and Microsoft Office.
Advances in Auto 5 produce a visibly smoother toolpath, thanks to the new sensitivity parameters in WorkNC, which optimise control over quality and cutting conditions.
Collision avoidance in Version 18 checks the job, tool and the tool holder against the limits of the machine itself and, so that as much of the part as possible is cut in one setting, the software will automatically insert flip and unwinding movements to keep within the machining envelope.
Visitors to the booth will also be able to see WorkNC's new Advanced Trochoidal Roughing.
For companies machining very hard materials, this new cycle automatically generates a spiral trochoidal movement of the tool whenever full engagement of the cutter is detected.
The resulting reduction in shock loading minimises the possibility of tool breakage, maximises tool life, and improves component quality.
Also on show in Japan, and making its debut, will be MyWorkPLAN.
This job management software has been designed for small and medium sized companies to help them collate management information, produce accurate quotations, and keep control of cost and delivery targets.
A key benefit of the software is its rapid deployment.
Users can be operational within a few days with the aid of the in built tutorial, eliminating the effort and expense normally associated with ERP software.
MyWorkPLAN also gets its own dedicated Web site for the Japanese market to help companies understand how the software can improve profitability.
This site will go live at JIMTOF.
Finally, for larger companies, Sescoi will be showing Version 11 of WorkPLAN Manufacturing Management software.
The many recent enhancements to the software make this a powerful tool for analysing and keeping track of company performance by measuring key business drivers from information gathered in real time.
Sescoi is looking forward to welcoming visitors to its booth between 1st and 8th November and to demonstrating how its products help companies around the globe increase productivity and profitability.
