Toolmaker invests in Sescoi job management
Czech toolmaker evaluated several job management systems before selecting MyWorkPLAN from Sescoi, to exchange data and interface with external software packages such as CAD and Microsoft Office.

We are very satisfied indeed with the results, which enable us to quickly find the total costs, based on a breakdown from our cost centres." Burgmann Automotive now has four seats of MyWorkPLAN.
These are used for management, administration and order input, and the recording of production times on the shop floor.
MyWorkPLAN enables the company to use the time and the job information it gathers to create delivery notes and evaluate performance according to cost centres.
It also includes tools for filtering and analysing data.
Lange added: " The software is very easy to use and makes it simple for us to measure cost savings and improvements in production." Now that deorder details are loaded into MyWorkPLAN, the company has seen improvements in accuracy with greater analysis of the technical details.
Lange said: "The structured approach enabled by the software has resulted in fewer manufacturing stoppages, producing significant cost savings".
Previously, individuals held job progress knowledge.
Now, MyWorkPLAN has brought complete transparency, for example, a quick enquiry in the software establishes a job's exact location and status.
Lange continued: "We have better control of order picking for finished and semi-finished parts, visibility of additional operations such as milling or turning, and we can predict the length of outsourced operations more accurately, which results in better on-time delivery performance." In a close relationship with Sescoi's support team, Burgmann's staff have found that the software is intuitive to learn, and that the support desk is both helpful and knowledgeable.
Lange concluded: "It is not just the direct transparency and accuracy benefits we gained from introducing MyWorkPLAN, but also the advice we received from Sescoi, which has had a positive impact on our business by encouraging us to re-evaluate some of our practices.
This advice has enabled us to achieve improvements in areas outside those we were expecting".
