companies join SGS
SGS International has announced that it has completed two European acquisitions
Continuing to build its market share as the "Design2Print" partner of choice for the world's most powerful brands, SGS International today announced that it has completed two European acquisitions: The Box Room., an artwork and project management services company based in Tamworth and the packaging division of Lukkien Foto and Design B.V., a Netherlands-based media and advertising services company Both companies will operate under the SGS brand and be led by the company's global management team

Advice on IT and consumer electronics standard
SGS has offered advice on which tests should be carried out to make sure products still comply with the requirements of the updated standards for IT and consumer electronics equipment.
"The addition of The Box Room and Lukkien's packaging division to our existing European operations will provide a dynamic platform for further pan-European expansion," commented Michael L.
Shannon, senior vice president for global operations at SGS International.
"Both companies complement our "Design2Print" approach".

Shannon added that the acquisitions will also allow SGS International to deliver customized and practical solutions - from creative to production - that align with client's business objectives and in-house capabilities, as well as contribute to the company's goal of building a global design supply chain model for consumer products companies.
