Fastener insertion system has variable
force
Shear-Form Machine Tools has launched the Haeger '412' manual, low cost fastener insertion system with interchangeable tooling and can be upgraded for automatic feeding.
Shear-Form Machine Tools, the Coventry based sheet metal and plate working machinery supplier and the sole representative for Haeger insertion presses in the UK, has announced the launch of the new Haeger '412' manual, low cost fastener insertion system.It is suitable for bench mounting or use on Haeger's mobile caster mounted trolley and available as either a single phase or 3-phase machine With Haeger's conductive and non conductive safety system, providing safety at any point in the ram stroke and requiring no set-up or adjustment by the operator at any time, the '412' has been introduced to provide a fastener insertion system with interchangeable tooling for small to medium size sheet metal fabricators, with the ability to be upgraded to a system with automatic feeding

The Haeger '412' is a fully hydraulic 36kN capacity press with a 300mm throat depth and a stroke infinitely adjustable from 0-152mm, operating at 106strokes/min with insertion forces as low as1.1 kN, to offer both reliability and energy efficiency.
The '412' is designed for use with mild steel fasteners up to 1/4-20/M6 nuts, 10-32/M5 studs and 10-32/M5 standoffs.
Options available for the '412' include either an imperial or metric 16-piece manual tooling package, to meet the demands of most manual hardware insertion requirements.
An upgrade kit enables Haeger's MAS-9 modular Autofeed System vacuum generator and/or batch counter to be retrofitted.
The kit also includes a PLC expansion module, program and additional electrical system changes.
Shuttle tooling for studs and standoffs comprising orientation and singulation modules, vacuum anvil, pivot arms with a tube adaptor and lower tooling.
Other optional extras include the choice of an imperial or metric 11-piece J-Frame tooling package and mounting kit as well as bottom feed tooling for nuts.
