Coil feeder for presses also feeds strip
Designed for stamping and drawing press feeding as well as on flexible production lines, a coil feeder offers high accuracy feeding of coil from 210mm - 1550mmm wide and strip feeding.
Simo-Star from French coil processing equipment supplier, Dimeco Alipresse is available through their sole agent in the UK, Shear-Form Machine Tools Ltd, the Coventry based sheet metal and plate working machinery supplier and was launched in the UK on their stand no 3445 at MACH 2004 in Birmingham

Dimeco's Simo-Star Microfeed is a coil feeder designed for stamping and drawing press feeding as well as on Dimeco's Flexilines flexible production lines, offering high accuracy feeding of coil from 210mm - 1550mmm wide and strip feeding using a squaring strip guide.
Simo-Star makes the press and feeder work together as a complete unit, enabling the complete line to be adjusted so that the press speed and feeding length of material work in harmony.
The uncoiling tensile stress, the uncoiling speed and that of the straightener are automatically adjusted.
The stresses in the material being fed are eliminated thereby reducing the size of the loop, making a pit in the floor unnecessary.
The result of this is that the line is shorter and can be easily re-located at any time.
Simo-Star's PLC servo control system has strip positioning, die safety monitoring and a DP-Profibus communications network.
It is a very flexible control system able to communicate with other systems.
Electronic cams synchronize the feeder to the application required as well as control the speed of the entire line, whilst automatic parameter adjustments make the line operate very smoothly, which in turns makes Simo-Star very accurate for stamping and drawing press feeding.
The control systems also monitors press and die safety giving the operator complete control of the line.
