NC operation eliminates coil feed loop
for presses
New concept in flexible, high speed coil feeding has NC that is the key element eliminating the need for any feeding loop from the coil so that the feeding line is only 4m long.
A brand new concept in flexible, high speed coil feeding called Opti-Master from French coil processing equipment supplier, Dimeco Alipresse is available through their sole agent in the UK, Shear-Form Machine Tools, the Coventry based sheet metal and plate working machinery supplier Dimeco's Opti-Master numerical control is the key element eliminating the need for any feeding loop from the coil so that the feeding line is only 4m long

Coil feeder NC system eliminates feeding loop
An exciting concept in flexible, NC, high speed coil feeding eliminates the need for any feeding loop from the coil so that the feeding line is only 4m long.
For example a Model 2381D 4,5 tonnes capacity uncoiler supplying a Model 1676D straightener/feeder having a crocodile opening, height adjustable frame has the capacity to handle 500mm wide x 4.2mm thick material at high constant speeds through the synchronisation of the feeding parameters.
This control is the key to the compactness of the line.
The Opti-Master control is based on a servo control that is ready programmed with up to 99 programs for all the motion and synchronisation requirements to smoothly and quickly feed coil into a press.
The software is user-friendly requiring the operator to only enter the production data such as the pitch or speed required.
For each feed-length, the acceleration/ deceleration of the feed and the maximum speed values are automatically adjusted so that the correct pitch is made at the defined angle.
The pre-programmed areas of the control cover the operating mode and the feeding parameters.
A feeding line equipped with Opti-Master can operate at speeds up to 1000 strokes/min with an accuracy of +/-0.05mm Opti-Master is a press feeding system which provides complete synchronisation through electronic cams, whilst elimination of the feeding loop means that stresses in the material being fed are eliminated.
The system allows the whole line to be adjusted to meet the required stamping rate and feeding length.
The braking force on uncoiling, the speed and that of the straightener are automatically adjusted.
Simply an Opti-Master line knows when the press is about to operate.
Opti-Master allows rapid start up of a line, staff can be easily trained to operate it, the SAP Active Press safety option with the IEC8 cams protect the tooling and press from any damage during operation.
It is ideal for use with Dimeco 'Microfeed' feeders and 'Micropro' straightener feeders.
