Press feed orders reflect new investment
Shear-Form Machine Tools, UK distributor for Dimeco Alipresse has recently delivered orders in excess of GBP 40,000 for three feeders for feeding coil to existing power presses.

One, a precision machining and pressed components manufacturer ordered an Opti-Master Microfeed and the Ecodrive Microfeed, whilst a manufacturer of industrial clamps ordered an Opti-Master Microfeed.
Dimeco's Opti-Master DPS Microfeed is one of the company's latest feeders able to feed 210mm wide 3.0mm thick strip at up to 150m per minute and includes the latest ADA function for optimisation of the feed speed.
This function automatically controls for each feed length the acceleration, deceleration and the speed values required so that the pitch of the feeding is made at the right angle and is fully synchronised with the press stroke rate thereby giving a very smooth feed for minimal defects and higher pressed component quality.

These Microfeeders are also fitted with a IEC8A electronic cam kit with 8 programmable cams and SAP4 which along with the IEC8 cams protects the tool and press from damage in the event of a fault in the line operation.
The Opti-Master Electronic control includes a speed display from 0-10%, memory for 99 production programs, 10 digital alpha-numeric program numbers with 1-99999 repetitions for each program.
The DKSE-Ecodrive Microfeeder is designed to handle coil up to 3mm thick from 80mm diameter rolls at a maximum stroke rate of 600spm with 0.05mm accuracy.
Clive Meir, director at Shear-Form said: "The orders for the Opt-Master Microfeeders have been delivered with Dimeco's latest PFS press feeding system, which ensures that the feeding equipment works in complete synchronization with the press.
The obvious advantages are that the quality of the pressings is first rate and there is minimal downtime of the whole line due caused by feeding problems.
These orders are good examples of companies investing in technology to enable higher production outputs and quality of their products.
