Available in three sizes, a flexible corner-forming machine can be used on galvanised and cold rolled mild steel and aluminium up to 3mm thick and stainless steel up to 2mm.

The ACF Multiflex Cornerformer is now available in three sizes from Shear-Form Machine Tools, the Coventry, UK-based sheet metal and plate working machinery supplier and sole UK representative of Austria-based ACF Engineering and Automation Multiflex is a flexible cornerformer for panel fabrication, forming corners on a multitude of products including; electrical cabinet doors, computer casings, trays, lids, oven doors, bathroom accessories, furniture, suitcase covers, cladding, bottom pans for humidifiers as well as traffic and other signs

The three models are the MF25, MF50 and MF100 for producing a panel outer corner radius up to 25mm, 50mm and 100mm.

The cycle time for each corner with the MF25 and MF 50 is about 13s, whilst the MF100 is about 22s.

They can be used on galvanised and cold rolled mild steel and aluminium up to 3mm thick and stainless steel up to 2mm.

All three models use universal tooling to give the operator flexibility in individual panel fabrications that are unaffected by the material being used, the thickness of the material or the flange height of the panel and there is no panel size limitation.

The Multiflex range is designed for smaller workshops, where flexibility is important.

They produce high quality and consistent corners eliminating welding and finishing work such as grinding.

Multiflex can form four closed corners of a single zinc coated mild steel door in around 52-88s, depending on the model, after which no manual zinc coating in the corner area is required.

Using mild steel with an enamel coating, the cold formed corner is evenly distributed and is resistant against temperatures in excess of 960 deg C.

When using stainless steel there is no material colour change and no pickling is required.

The minimum panel size that the machine can handle is 64mm x 64mm, with no limits to the maximum length and width.

Controlled by a B and R control and ACF designed software, Multiflex is operated by a footswitch and is fully enclosed with a safety door to meet all CE standards.
