Insertion presses win orders at MACH
2006
Insertion press designed for capacity and versatility has a speed 15% faster than the original model while a larger machine applies inserts into thin gauge materials with high repeatability.
The launch of new Haeger insertion presses at MACH 2006 has proved successful for Shear-Form Machine Tools, the Coventry, UK-based sheet metal and plate working machinery supplier and sole UK representative for California based insertion press manufacturer Haeger Since the exhibition, the Company has picked up orders mainly from the sub contract industry for three '618-Plus' and two '824 WindowTouch-3' insertion presses, in addition to a couple of McKecknie International de-burring machines, all of which have been delivered

Coil feeder NC system eliminates feeding loop
An exciting concept in flexible, NC, high speed coil feeding eliminates the need for any feeding loop from the coil so that the feeding line is only 4m long.
The 618-Plus is designed for capacity and versatility.
It has a 54kN ram force, a long 857mm deep throat and has an operating speed 15% faster than the original 618.
824 WindowTouch-3 with it 72kN ram force and 610mm deep throat, is designed to apply inserts into thin gauge materials and insertion applications where absolute repeatability (+/-0.5%) is critical.
It has a purpose designed multi-shuttle tooling platform for nuts, studs and stand-offs and using Haeger's latest Turret Insertion System (TIS-2) up to four different fasteners can be inserted in one part handling.
A digital camera to record work in process for future reference is included as part of the press's quality control package.
Clive Meir, director Shear-Form Machine Tools said: "We launched and demonstrated a number of new presses from Haeger at MACH 2006 and naturally we are pleased with the outcome.
Haeger has redesigned their models for 2006 and this was the first time we were able to show the market the new products and because Haeger had introduced a number of new performance enhancing features, we feel this also had a positive influence on our customers to purchase.
We always exhibit the latest McKechnie International de-burring machines and the interest they create always results in orders.
Over the years MACH has proved to be a good platform on which to show our products and in 2008 we shall again show the latest products from Haeger.".
