Press feed line for coil processing
equipment
Shear-Form Machine Tools has received an order from Tadley Engineering in Tadley, Hampshire for a Dimeco Press Feed Line to retrofit to a new Amada TP150 power press.
Shear-Form Machine Tools, Coventry based sheet metal and plate working machinery supplier and sole distributor in the UK for French Coil Processing Equipment manufacturer Dimeco Alipresse has received an order from Tadley Engineering in Tadley, Hampshire for a Dimeco Press Feed Line to be delivered in January 2006 Tadley Engineering, a supplier of precision sheet metal components and fabrications in ferrous and non ferrous material, from electronic enclosures to heavy electrical engineering to racking and storage systems, has ordered this line to retrofit to a new Amada TP150 power press The line will be able to feed 2 ton mild steel coils with a maximum width of 500mm

Coil feeder NC system eliminates feeding loop
An exciting concept in flexible, NC, high speed coil feeding eliminates the need for any feeding loop from the coil so that the feeding line is only 4m long.
It is fully enclosed behind safety fencing and will be 12m in length, comprising a S2371 MFA/44 medium duty uncoiler, a 1676 DVV Straightener, a 1125D Opti-Master Microfeed feeder and Opti-Master electronic controls The powered vertical uncoiler has a 3 jaw mandrel and an electric disc brake.
This brake acts as an automatic torque regulator ensuring the strip always has a constant and programmable tension for smooth feeding.
The diameter of the coil is always monitored using an ultrasonic sensor to regulate the tension.

Coil feeder for presses also feeds strip
Designed for stamping and drawing press feeding as well as on flexible production lines, a coil feeder offers high accuracy feeding of coil from 210mm - 1550mmm wide and strip feeding.

A new Cmachine from US metalworking equipment manufacture McKechnie International of Florida, is now available through its sole agent in the UK, Shear-Form Machine Tools
The uncoiler is loaded using remote controlled coil loading car.
The Straightener has one straightening head with 4 x 80mm diameter adjustable pressure feeding rolls is capable of straightening mild steel up to 200mm wide x 0,8mm to 5.0mm thickness.
It will also be supplied with a MAR automatic speed regulator, which adjusts the pitch length and press rate through the feeder's line synchronization system (PFS) using ultrasonic sensors under the steel being fed.
The Opti-Master roll feeder can feed 510mm wide coil up to 5.5mm thick and is based on a servo control that is pre-programmed for the forward motion and full synchronization the line feeding of the press.
The Opti-Master electronic control has a speed display from 0-100%, a part counter, 1 - 99999 repetitions for each programme, pitch variation from 0-99999.99mm and a memory for up to 99 production programmes.
The ADA speed optimization provides automatic acceleration and deceleration of the feeder to ensure the feeder is in full synchronization with the press and the line.
It also has 0.01mm pitch micro-adjustment whilst the feeder is in operation.
By synchronizing the complete line Dimeco are able to ensure that the line feeds material constantly, smoothly and in line with the stokes of the press.
This ensures that downtime is kept to a minimum and that rejects are kept at the absolute minimum.
