Coil feeder NC system eliminates feeding loop
An exciting concept in flexible, NC, high speed coil feeding eliminates the need for any feeding loop from the coil so that the feeding line is only 4m long.
When loaded Tiltmatic is able to tilt the coil through 90deg into the vertical position and slide the coil onto the chuck of the uncoiler in one continuous movement.
The system is reversible, when an unfinished coil needs to be changed, it is removed and turned flat, ready for putting back into stock.
Both models can handle coils up with up to 508mm inner diameters and 1,500mm outer diameters and operate at 5m per minute.
They are easy to use with the coil always being picked up in the same way using the coils inner diameter to enable a fixed loading height on the uncoiler, whilst a single drive motor tilts the coil and pushes it onto the chuck of the uncoiler.
Safety has been built into Tiltmatic, because no manual intervention is required from unloading the coil from the forklift to the chuck expansion and the coil remains stable throughout its movement, whilst the closed rail system for the lateral movement of the Tiltmatic removes the risk of the coil coming off the rails.
An option available is hydraulic elevation of the coil holder pin.
