PLC operated power press feeder has strip positioning, electronic cams, die safety monitoring and a DP-PROFIBUS communication network combined in one terminal.

Shear-Form Machine Tools will be showing a number of new products at the UK's MACH 2008 machine tool exhibition Products include power press feeders, coil processing equipment, insertion presses, lubricant spray system and sheet metal corner notching machines

* Power press feeder - the Dimeco Alipresse press feeder is equipped with one of the latest Simo-Star PLC servo controlled systems having strip positioning, electronic cams, die safety monitoring and a DP-PROFIBUS communication network combined in one terminal.

This system has been developed for a number applications as follows.

* Simo-Star PF for stamping presses.

* Simo-Star OS for Dimeco Alipresse Flexipress lines feeding including tool selections for up to 40 tools.

* Simo-Star BP for the Decopro lines feeding equipped with hydraulic punch-bench using up to 40 units.

* Coil processing - information will be available on the complete range of coil processing equipment from Dimeco including their highly flexible, programmable 'Flexipunch' equipped with Simo-Star Microfeed servo drive feeder for multi axis control of the tooling.

There is also the PFS (Press Feeding System) for automatic line speed regulation for optimum press synchronisation.

It enabes different components to be manufactured from one coil without the need to stop the line to change tooling or programs.

* Insertion press - from Haeger, Shear-Form will demonstrate the latest 824 WindowTouch-3 insertion press has a new Multi-Shuttle single tooling platform, supplied as standard.

This new tooling platform is designed for standard and made-to-order tooling, providing a quick and easy solution to toll changeover between nuts, studs and stand-offs.

It enables the user to make changeovers in around 2 min without the need for re-alignment.

* Press lubricant spray system - from France based, ACMA Oleosytheses, an intelligent multi bank lubricant spray system will be shown for the first time.

It can be used on most coil processing applications including punching, stamping, fine blanking and cambering of a multitude of ferrous and non-ferrous steels.

* Corner former - other equipment on show will include a Multiflex Cornerformer from ACF Engineering, Austria, for use in panel fabrication forming of corners on electrical cabinet doors, computer casings, trays, lids, oven doors, furniture, suitcase covers, cladding, bottom pans for humidifiers, traffic and other signs.

The McKechnie International D-Bur-r 131-E de-burring machine can be used on most materials, including aluminium, mild steel and especially stainless steel.

* Coil processing - information on products from Swiss based coil processing system technology company, Soprem Automation, will be available.

Included will be Soprem precision press shop equipment, including strip feeding into high speed stamping presses, rollformers, surface treating installations, heat treatment systems, automatic assembling machines as well as wire feeding of high speed spring making machines, bending machines, surface treating installations, heat treatment systems, wire shaping machines and other wire and strip working installations plus strip end welding machines.

* Shear-Form Machine Tools at MACH 2008, NEC, Birmingham, UK, April 21-25, Hall 4, Stand 4869.
