The Systech Model 542 is able to measure any combination of non-corrosive gases using the principle of thermal conductivity combined with sensitive, microprocessor-based signal processing with autoranging.

The resolution depends upon the gas mix, typically better than 100 ppm for hydrogen in nitrogen and 2000 ppm for oxygen in argon, with an accuracy of better than +/-2% of range.
A wide range of pre-programmed sample and reference gases can be selected using a simple front panel keypad and menu system.
Calibration settings for each gas mixture, stored in an internal memory, are recalled automatically when the mix is selected.
This facility allows the selected gas mix to be changed quickly and easily with the minimum risk of operator error.
Sample pressure and flow are internally controlled allowing connection to a wide range of pressurised sample sources.
The ultra stable katherometer and sophisticated signal processing provide a very fast response time of 90% of value within 20 seconds combined with excellent stability and insensitivity to sample flow.
The Model 542 programmable gas analyser is supplied with auto zero and automatic timed calibration in an IP40 sealed steel case suitable for bench or panel mounting and an RS232 data interface, as standard.
Options include an IP55 sealed case, alarm contacts, 4 - 20 mA analogue output and multipoint sampling.
