Graduate training programme implemented
Endorsing its strong commitment to customer service, Schneider Electric has introduced a graduate training programme that sees the first 12 young people start work in sales support roles.
Endorsing its strong commitment to customer service, Schneider Electric has introduced a graduate training programme that sees the first 12 young people start work in sales support roles.
Reporting to Stewart Gregory of Schneider Electric's Industrial Systems and Solutions, the graduates will participate in national and regional activities in support of customers.
Each will work deploying all of the technological solutions developed by Schneider Electric.
Neema Shah of the company's human resources department explained the rationale behind the scheme.
"These exceptionally bright young people have no preconceived ideas about what customer support in the industrial arena entails, they are open minded and able to embrace the company's ethos of providing enterprise-wide offers to customers." She added, "It would have been all too easy to simply glean people already ensconced in technical sales, but we are trying to put something back by introducing fresh talent to the industry." One of the graduates, Becky Shawl, responded: "Although the training schedule has been quite challenging, I feel that we have all made a comfortable transition into Schneider Electric, due to the fact that everyone has been so welcoming".
"Within just the first few weeks, our training was so varied that I was impressed with the commitment that the company has made with regards to this graduate scheme." Fellow graduates Adam Douglas and Marc Garner agreed.
"The experience has been wonderful, we feel privileged to be a part of this exciting time within the organisation" The 12 graduates' degrees range from engineering to business studies and each was selected from a long list of qualified candidates.
