Servo motion in machine control scenarios

A Schneider Electric product story

Schneider Electric UK is seeking to appoint a small number of highly specialised systems integrators for its brand new Lexium motion offer.

Identifying a significant shift in both the market for motion and a change in the needs of new users of servo motors and drives, Schneider Electric UK is seeking to appoint a small number of highly specialised systems integrators for its brand new Lexium motion offer.

The new authorised integrators will be assigned to assist new users in getting to grips with the use of servo motion in a broad variety of machine control scenarios.

Those companies that meet stringent requirements will join a small group of businesses with unfettered access to both Schneider Electric's new products and also its technical expertise.

The new motion products are designated the Lexium 05 servo drive range from Telemecanique, a brand of Schneider Electric.

Paul Boylin, from Schneider Electric's Industrial Systems and Solutions, is the man charged with establishing the new motion integrator network.

He said, "We have recognised for some time that the greatest impediment to the growth of motion is the perceived complexity of using it.

The introduction of the Lexium range will overcome many of the previous difficulties, such as programming the drives, that have put off users in the past".

He concluded, "Our aim is to build a team of facilitators that can help new and existing users to make the most of the benefits of low cost servo motion".
