Form-fitting grippers supplied within
three days

Laser formed polyamide gripper fingers and adapter plates feature very complex geometries that cannot be produced by conventional metal cutting technologies.

Schunk is supplying laser-formed polyamide gripper fingers and adapter plates LMD, a technology partner of Schunk, uses a laser forming process to make grippers for holding components with very complex geometries

Such grippers cannot be produced by conventional metal cutting technologies.

The complex air feed-through can be routed through a one-piece workpiece in all three dimensions without having to set bore holes from the outside.

Adapter plates with complicated internal channels can now be produced as a single unit without drilling, said Schunk to manufacturingtalk.com.

Within just three working days, Schunk can provide gripper fingers of any design for form-fit gripping.

Since the polyamide used is very elastic, laser forming is also suitable for one-piece compensation systems that adapt to the shape of the workpiece using compliant profiles suspended in the gripper jaws.

With polyamide gripper fingers, it is also possible to grip sensitive and thin-walled workpieces, such as car body parts, without clamping marks or other damage. Request a free brochure from Schunk Intec ...
