Order placed for specialist sideloaders
Sidetracker Engineering has received an order valued at over GBP 300,000 to build six multi-direction sideloaders for a window manufacturer's national distribution centre.
Sidetracker Engineering has received an order valued at over GBP 300,000 to build six multi-direction sideloaders for the national distribution centre of plastic window extrusion manufacturer WHS Halo at Minworth, West Midlands The trucks, to be supplied through Lex Harvey, will be used to handle 6.2 metre long stillages containing plastic extrusions in the 10,000m2 warehouse, which supplies large-scale window fabricators throughout the UK
The warehouse, which holds around 7000 stillages at a time, operates 24 hours a day and six days a week.
The specification includes a lift height of nine metres, a load capacity of three tonnes, 1200mm long forks and CCTV to give drivers a clear view of the load and racking when the mast is raised.
The order is due to be completed in March.
