Twin transmission boosts lift truck performance
Three-wheel lift trucks and sideloaders are now available with two drive wheels, giving 50 per cent more torque and better balance than standard models and offer multi-direction manoeuvrability.
It can be fitted with small wheels for use on smooth surfaces or larger wheels and soft tyres for rougher conditions.
The truck is extremely compact, which allows it to operate usually in aisles less than 1.8 metres wide.
The multi-directional steering system enables it to travel sideways when carrying long loads or forwards like a conventional counterbalance truck, and it can also rotate on the spot to maximise manoeuvrability and minimise turning space.
A forward-facing seat allows drivers to mount and dismount easily in narrow aisles, and a full weatherproof cab can be fitted as an option for outside use.
Fork spread is powered, so fork width can be adjusted quickly from zero to two metres.
Cab design and deck lengths can be tailored to suit customers' needs The use of electro-hydraulic rather than electronic systems gives a degree of reliability and durability.
Electric models have twin motors that run singly or in tandem according to demand and can be used with just one motor operational.
