Siemens appoints new general manager
Siemens Automation and Drives has appointed Mark Higham as its new general manager for Industrial Control and Automation.
Siemens Automation and Drives has appointed Mark Higham as its new general manager for Industrial Control and Automation Mark will assume responsibility for automation products, standard drives and low voltage control gear, as well as the training, service and technical support divisions within Siemens Automation and Drives
Mark joined Siemens in 1985 as a graduate engineer.
Since then he has worked in Germany and the UK, where he has held a number of positions in software engineering, project management and system sales.
Most recently he was business manager for the company's Automation Centre in Manchester, during which time he had responsibility for all Simatic branded products.
The appointment follows a move by Gordon Carmichael, who previously held the position, who has joined Siemens Information and Communication Mobile (ICM) in Bracknell, as Group managing director.
