Cabinet system designed for multi-motor
drives
Cabinet modules are a modular cabinet system for multi-motor drives can be quickly combined with each other and installed.
The new Sinamics S120 cabinet modules from Siemens Automation and Drives (Aand D) is a modular cabinet system for multi-motor drives The Sinamics S120 cabinet modules provide a compact and ready-to-use drive solution, scalable up to a rating of 4.5MW, for use particularly in machines and plants in the paper machinery sector, rolling mills, test bays and hoisting gear

Thanks to standardized interfaces, the individual cabinet modules can be quickly combined with each other and installed.
Modularity, scalability and simple installation are the requirements of cabinet module systems for multi-motor applications.
The new Sinamics S120 cabinet modules form a compact and pre-wired drive solution.
The system is modular in design and can be scaled in small increments up to a rating of 4.5MW.
The modular and scalable structure, together with an extensive optional package, allows high flexibility.
This gives users investment security since they get exactly the functions required for their applications.
The different module types can be combined in almost any way.
A special system solution can thus be configured for every multi-motor application.
DC power is supplied to the modules via prefabricated busbars, and data is transferred over the digital Drive- Cliq interface.
The cables belonging to the Drive-Cliq concept are also off-the-shelf and available in different lengths.
A central closed-loop control module with Profibus connection is the overall drive control for up to four connected drives.
Thanks to the modular concept, the use of modern IGBT power semiconductors, and the innovative cooling concept for the individual modules, the converter network is extremely compact and especially quiet.
Sinamics S120 cabinet modules are supplied in standard control cabinets and are suitable for multi-motor drives as found typically in the paper industry and rolling mills, or with hoisting gear or test bays.
