At the EMO 2005 the Schleifring Group exhibited 24 grinding machines including a Studer single-pur-pose centre grinding machine for grinding chamfers and full angles on carbide metal blanks.
Helicheck Plus is equipped with four fixed cameras for the non-contact and fully automatic measurement of tools and grinding wheels and, according to VDI/VDE 2617, achieves a measuring length deviation of E1 = (1.4 + L/300mm) micron, where L equals measuring length.
Based on the use of a substantial granite block with excellent vibration damping, the fully enclosed machine features front, back and top light camera magnification of up to 400x for micro tools, and back light up to 50x for standard larger tools.
The machine incorporates Diffusor 'soft light' illumination that avoids excessive reflection of the face/feature being measured, to aid inspection clarity.
The Helicheck Plus complements Walter's Helicheck, Helicheck Pro and the entry-level Helicheck Basic tool measuring machines.
