Packaging line suitable for many formats
Sigpack Systems, a Bosch Packaging Technology Company, and Burgopak have together developed a new packaging line.
This flexible solution, which is based on the same control and design philosophy, addresses the needs of co-packers and can also be used in pilot plant stations or for product launches.
Suitable for packaging powder, pellets, granulates and piece goods for the pharmaceutical, food and non-food industries, the RA/KG4 produces up to 1000 pouches per minute and 100 cartons per minute - delivering high output with minimal space requirements.
For primary packaging, the volume of material required is significantly reduced and Stick Packs can be created with either finseal or overlapping longitudinal seals - the security and integrity of both are guaranteed through the use of precision servo driven sealers.
This is particularly important for pharmaceuticals and foods where contamination is unacceptable.
Similarly, the multilane machine offers easy coding options and precise weight control.
For packaging powder, granulates or pellets either auger fillers or tipping fillers are used.
For mini-tablets and piece goods, there are diverse options for individual counting units.
The modular and robust construction of the RA/KG4 provides for efficient and reliable multi-shift operation since it accommodates quick changes between packaging materials and styles.
For secondary packaging, the volume of material is also reduced and the cartoning can be aligned in one and/or two layers or random cartoning.
There are also options for inserting leaflets and coding for pharmaceuticals.
The machine has been designed to allow product flow to be observed at all times, ensuring ergonomic and convenient machine operation.
This is simplified further by a Siemens S7 PLC control via a touch panel that displays all production parameters.
The machine is easy to clean and maintain and is fully compliant with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines, providing the end user with an easily validatable machine.
