A new range of self-levelling trolleys will help companies ensure that staff are less likely to suffer back strain and related injuries, thereby reducing compensation claims.

A new range of self-levelling trolleys will help companies ensure that staff are less likely to suffer back strain and related injuries, thereby reducing compensation claims They have been specially designed and produced to reduce bending and lifting strain by incorporating a levelling base platform

As items are removed, the platform height adjusts to ensure it is at the top of the trolley.

The trolleys, available in 150kg and 200kg sizes, are manufactured from one-piece polyethylene moulding with a zinc-plated chassis.

The self-levelling base has highly durable springs for long service life and castors are placed in a diamond configuration for ease of manoeuvrability.

Being of plastics construction, the trolleys are less likely to cause damage to contents than other materials.

They will be especially useful for process industries where there is a danger of operatives suffering RSI from bending and lifting products.

The first delivery was to Barnsley District General Hospital.

Garth Furmage, Health and Safety Manager said, "It goes without saying that people's health is our prime concern.

A lot of support, training and equipment is provided to staff to ensure that the risk of back strain is minimised.".
