Very important too, said 600 Group's chief executive, Andrew Dick, was: "A more energetic, focussed management, able to concentrate on developing the three complementary strands within our business strategy".

Existing distributors have been given fresh impetus and additional support where necessary to encourage their enhanced performance, new distributors have been appointed, giving a greater territorial coverage and also more depth of technical expertise and specialisation, and more direct salesmen and application engineers have been appointed.
The additional manpower has delivered an increased number of sales but more importantly an increased market share.
Dick said: "When we first developed our new strategy, we identified Europe as one of the principle territories in which we wished to expand our activities.
The results of the last twelve months are even better than we had hoped, and I believe demonstrate that we are taking the right steps to enable us to operate as a leading supplier in that market.".
