Compact mill/turn centre has versatile
workholding
The most compact version of a modular range of mill/turn centres meets bar or chucking needs and offers a choice of headstocks, turrets and tailstocks.
The most compact in the latest modular format range of TCN mill/turn centres from Spain's largest machine tool builder Danobat has been developed to suit bar or chucking requirements and with a choice of headstocks, turrets and tailstocks to suit user requirements Now available through 600 Centre of Shepshed, the Danobat TCN 10 has a swing over the bed of 450mm with a distance between centres of either 520mm or 1190mm

Fanuc has extended the capacity, specification and performance of its Robocut Alpha-1iA wire cut electro discharge machine (EDM) to provide high accuracy performance cutting at up to 300mm2/min.
The maximum turning diameter is 270mm and in bar format, capacities can be specified as 45mm, 62mm or 78mm.
When a chucking version is required, there is a choice of 210mm chuck size as standard or 250mm as an option.
The same specification 25kW motor powers whichever of the three available headstocks are selected.
As standard, an A6 spindle nose with 75mm bore and 50 to 4,000 revs/min spindle speeds is supplied however, options include A5, 55 mm bore with 50 to 4,000 revs/min or A8, 91mm and a 30 to 3,000 revs/min spindle.
A full C-axis or angular positioning spindle are further options.
Either a 12 station turret with 20mm by 20mm tools or eight station, with 25mm by 25mm tools, can be selected.
Each turret type has six driven tool positions with 4kW, 6,000 revs/min drive and 20Nm of torque available.
Rapid traverse rates are 20m/min in X and 24m/min in Z-axis.
The tailstock on the TCN 10 can be ordered with either 70mm or 90mm quill with further options of automatic locking or 100mm of cross slide traverse.
A self-centring steady rest can be specified for diameters between 8mm and 95mm.
As part of the Danobat lathe range, developed as part of its success in the automotive and related higher volume sectors, gantry or automatic loading systems can be specified as well as integrated measuring or post-process gauging.
