A Fanuc Alpha T21 vertical machining centre fitted with a Nikken unit for five-axis positioning and programming generated through CAD/CAM specialist Delcam, will be demonstrating the production of 'bent' holes in see through perspex material on the 600 Centre stand at Autosport Engineering The demonstration using a 'lollypop' cutter will produce the programmed form taking almost a quarter of a circle similar to valve porting in a cylinder head and will involve a 'rocking' motion created by simultaneous movement of the five axes of the machine
