Vertical machining centre reduces lead times
Medical implants and instrumentation manufacturer has introduced 'lean' cell-structured machining systems - including high speed machining - to reduce overall manufacturing lead times.
Said Andrew Dick: "This is a milestone set in place as part of the 600 Group strategy that is developing global partnerships with leading international companies that complement our portfolio of business interests.
But in particular, the signing of this agreement with such a leading company in machine tool engineering broadens 600 Centre operations into the highly sophisticated and demanding production environment of the automotive sector." Adding his comment from 600 Centre perspective, Grocock maintained this decision by Fuji Machine significantly builds the company capability as a solution provider in turnkey engineering project expertise that is well established in the aerospace, off-road, medical and tier 1 and 2 suppliers to these sectors.
He said: "This will involve serious business.
