600 Centre shows CNC turning, milling,
EDM
The 600 Centre will show 22 machine tools, including CNC turning, milling, grinding and wire-EDM from Toyoda Mitsui-Seiki, Fanuc, Fuji Machine, Colchester-Harrison, Okamoto and Dalian.

Wire EDM machine uprated to cut quicker
Fanuc has extended the capacity, specification and performance of its Robocut Alpha-1iA wire cut electro discharge machine (EDM) to provide high accuracy performance cutting at up to 300mm2/min.
An example will be the launch of Colchester-Harrison's Storm SV 1100 5X, 5-axis vertical machining centre (VMC).
Also Toyoda Mitsui-Seiki's FH 630 SX horizontal machining centre (HMC) will perform complex 4-axis machining.

* CNC turning and mill-turn centres - MACH 2008 will see an automated mill-turn cell from Fuji, and the 'world launch' of the the Colchester-Harrison Tornado TT6 mill-turn centre.
* Grinding technology - the Toyoda Machinery's Select-G Universal machine can be changed from straight wheel head approach to 30 deg angle approach.
Representing the latest Okamoto development, will be the ACC 64CAI automatic surface grinding machine.
* Wire EDM - the Fanuc Alpha D-Series wire-EDM, originally launched at EMO 2007 will be shown at MACH 2008.
* Value range of CNC lathes and VMCs - a range of conventional and CNC lathes and VMCs built to strict 600 Group specifications, and called the 600 Centre 'Value', will be launched at MACH.
There will be seven Dalian machines operating on the 600 Centre stand.
Prices start at GBP 5,490 for a standard CDS centre lathe.
Dalian's VMCs are all fitted with Fanuc controls, and their prices start at GBP 23,500 for the VDL machine.
GBP 20,450 will secure a good specification CKE, CNC combination lathe, said 600 Centre.
