Bandsaw pulls-pushes blades to better
cutting
In a bandsaw drive, the system pushes as well as pulls the bandsaw blade, so it adds more cutting power as well as extending saw blade life, reducing noise and increasing productivity.
The Alligator All Wheel Drive (AWD) range of bandsaws - available from Saws UK can cut materials to within a tolerance of 0.1mm It provides high quality surface finish, can eliminate waste material and prepare parts to optimise parts production

Dual drive saw raises productivity 100% and more
What took an offshore equipment manufacturer's existing saw to cut in 2h, a dual drive band saw now cuts in under 40 min and has raised productivity by 100-200% in some cases.
Circular sawing machines are high quality
High quality circular sawing machines, said to be ideal for cutting aluminium and UPVC, include pull down and semi automatic saws and automated sawing systems.
The AWD pulls as well as pushes the blade to increase power.
In doing so, it considerably enhances cutting performance, improves blade life, productivity and accuracy, whilst reducing noise levels.
Saws UK advises that the Alligator CNC bandsaw is available in four variations as follows.

The machines are built upon a polymer concrete machine base with a frame that has two reinforced pillars for extreme rigidity and stability.
This build quality is characterised throughout the machine range.
The bow of the saw has a centre of gravity located precisely on the axis of the hydraulic cylinder for head movement.
The design prevents any interfering load caused by instability through blade feed regulation.
A hydraulic cylinder located at the intersection of the forces controls the blade tensioning.
The blade wheels are fitted between two ball bearings.
This combination ensures the tensioning forces of the blade are located at the centreline of the head providing exceptional accuracy and stability.
Designed for high accuracy and productive material cutting, the Alligator AWD range has bar detection via laser linked to the CNC system to change work from rapid to work feed mode.
Optimising production, the CNC automatically adjusts the cutting feed and speed with consideration for thermal expansion and blade tension while the saw is in operation.
The CNC system takes into account cutting conditions for the type of material machined.
It is also capable of optimising the sequence of parts in quantities and lengths and this can be linked to on-site reporting and communication networks.
AWD machine quality incorporates the following.
* Maintenance free double material clamping in front and behind the blade.
* Double chip brush for band cleaning.
* Material detection for rapid and working feed.
* Automatic trim cut and cutting height adjustment.
For high volume cutting, the Alligator range incorporates a hinged chip conveyor and bundle clamping for maximum cutting capacity.
