Bandsaw pulls-pushes blades to better cutting
In a bandsaw drive, the system pushes as well as pulls the bandsaw blade, so it adds more cutting power as well as extending saw blade life, reducing noise and increasing productivity.
Dual drive saw raises productivity 100% and more
What took an offshore equipment manufacturer's existing saw to cut in 2h, a dual drive band saw now cuts in under 40 min and has raised productivity by 100-200% in some cases.
The new tables are available in semi-automatic (Alligator RTA Series) and manual (Alligator RTM Series) versions to deliver accurate cutting of bars, beams sections and billets.
The Alligator RTA measuring tables have a programmable end stop controlled via an inverter, which can automatically move to the length entered into the control panel via the digital display.
The +/-0.01mm accuracy level is guaranteed by two linear guides that work in conjunction with a toothed belt to improve precision levels.

Circular sawing machines are high quality
High quality circular sawing machines, said to be ideal for cutting aluminium and UPVC, include pull down and semi automatic saws and automated sawing systems.
Circular carbide saws slice up steel billets
Saws UK has introduced its Alligator CS range of circular carbide saws, one of which is claimed to effortlessly cut through 90mm diameter steel bar in little over 10s.
The Alligator RTA measuring system is driven by a 0.25kW motor and is available with a variety of working bed lengths ranging from 2m to 6m increasing in 1m increments.
The tables are available with either 350mm or 705mm roll widths to accommodate large workpieces with a variable table height that can be adjusted via the table feet to integrate with a selection of saws.
For large workpieces the rigid and robust table can support up to 420kg/m.
The manual Alligator RTM series measuring table like the semi automatic version allows for bed lengths from 2m to 6m.
Its handle and drive belt system accommodate parts up to 835mm wide for larger components.
* Choice of tables - both measuring systems are available with a choice of tables to suit a remarkably wide application range.
For heavy duty cutting, both measuring systems can be ordered with the Alligator RFX or RFP tables.
Both tables consist of steel chassis legs and heavy duty rolls all of which can be secured to the ground for maximum rigidity.
The painted tables also have adjustable feet like most tables in the range to provide +/-50mm variation to accommodate numerous types of saws, and uneven floors.
The Alligator RFM medium roller table series is ideal for general applications whilst the light series of RFU and RFL tables are ideal for small bar and general tubework that doesn't have a considerable payload.
The RFU and RFL tables have a working length of up to 1.5m with the option of 350mm or 420mm roller width.
With a payload capacity of 150kg/m the standard smaller tables are available with two height variations of 900mm or 980mm with other sizes available.
Saws UK told manufacturingtalk that these measuring systems have the potential to bring true accuracy and material savings to most manufacturers.
