Vibration analysis concept simplifies
servicing

A new concept in vibration analysis instrumentation re-defines traditional approaches to vibration analysis and simplifies industrial maintenance and inspection techniques.

SKF has launched a new concept in vibration analysis instrumentation, the MX Series, part of the Microlog family of products The device re-defines traditional approaches to vibration analysis and simplifies industrial maintenance, servicing and inspection techniques

Like all instruments in the Microlog family, the MX is a simple, easy to use device for a wide range of applications.

By combining the latest handheld computing technology with a flexible range of analysis modules, SKF has created a multi-functional tool for users from all levels of experience.

The instrument includes a conformance check module, which assesses machinery health in accordance with industrial standards.

It also gives users the opportunity to define their own standards.

The FFT spectrum analyser allows for an on-screen vector readout and the stand-alone balancer offers several option to choose from; static and dynamic couple, single or dual plane.

In addition, the MX Series features a bump test for determining resonance as well as a digital signal recorder.

"The key to the flexibility of the MX Series lies in its modular approach," explains Phil Burge of SKF.

"By selecting just the applications they need, users can create an instrument that meets their exact requirements".

"If the requirements change, additional modules can be installed at a later date." The MX Series is equipped with the latest Intel 400 MHz Xscale processor, and its use of Microsoft's Windows CE.net operating system and USB communications provides seamless connectivity into the PC environment.

The 64-megabyte internal memory enables the storage of large amounts of data.

However, the device offers the choice of additional digital storage options.

A PC based advanced reporting and analysis module is also available.

The large colour display is readable in all lighting conditions and the MX Series is able to withstand the daily knocks and abuse associated with industrial environments.

This rugged design philosophy is confirmed by a 6.5ft drop test rating and IP65 sealing. Request a free brochure from SKF UK ...
