Twin linear modules give rigidity at
high speed
Ideal for all types of high-speed handling and robotics applications, twin linear drive modules are fitted with two profile rail guides, each having two carriages.
SKF Engineering Products, the Linear Motion Division of SKF, has strengthened its claim in the modular automation sector with a range of twin linear drive modules Ideal for all types of high-speed handling and robotics applications the units are fitted with two profile rail guides, each having two carriages

Gearbox design smashes engineering barriers
Considered a breakthrough in the world of industrial transmissions, a gearbox offers a service life of greater than 50,000 hours - 30,000 more than the industry average.
Packaging improvement prevents bearing damage
A versatile, robust and environmentally friendly packaging solution for the transportation of large-size bearings affords easier and safer handling and superior protection.
The KDCP axis components feature a broad profile for maximum rigidity, even at speeds up to 3,5m/sec and acceleration up to 50m/sec.
A toothed belt gives timing accuracy, while the ball bearings are sealed for life to minimize maintenance.
Four KDCP models are available with maximum lengths from 5630mm up to 5470mm.
Load capacity is from 16600N up to 54800N, while the maximum permissible load in any one axis is from 1120N up to 7000N in the X-axis and from 16600N up to 53000N in the Z-axis.
Stepping up in capacity is the KDVP range of three units featuring twin rails and carriages, but with two preloaded angular contact ball bearings and a deep groove ball bearing on the ballscrew.
Lengths go from 1950mm up to 3550mm and load capacity is from 18000N to 72000N at speeds up to 1800 rev/min according to the critical speed of the screw shaft.
Completing the range is the KDML series, which are linear motor driven for maximum speed, acceleration and accuracy performance.
Again, the units are twin modules, but motion is provided by non-contacting linear motors.
These are fully protected by an extruded anodised aluminium profile that also provides high rigidity.
Eight models provide load carrying capacity up to 133650N in lengths up to 6000mm. Request a free brochure from SKF UK ...
